NETZSCH presents timing gear safety system

netzsch

NETZSCH is well known as the global market leader for progressing cavity pumps and now as a manufacturer of rotary lobe pumps. At IWEX 2011, the company will present its TORNADO® rotary lobe pumps which use intelligent NETZSCH GSS technology. This timing gear safety system represents the greatest operational reliability and is achieved by physically separating the pump and gear chambers.

By using GSS technology, the NETZSCH TORNADO® rotary lobe pumps offer greater customer benefits compared to competitors' products – pumped media are not able to get into the timing gear in the event of a product leak, and the ingress of gear oil into the pump chamber can also be reliably prevented. In addition lubricating and cooling the seal is facilitated by means of the easily accessible flushing and sealing water connections. "In this way, we are able to offer our customers comprehensive, tangible added value and are proud to have further modified a sophisticated product like the rotary lobe pump“, says Erwin Weber, Head of Business Development for Rotary Lobe Pumps at NETZSCH.

A particular highlight at IWEX 2011 will be the transparent TORNADO® rotary lobe pump on stand F28. This will enable NETZSCH to offer insights into the workings of its products and show its customers and visitors (metaphorically speaking) transparency in terms of consultation and product quality. All of the main components of the pump, including the rotary lobes, are manufactured in NETZSCH’S own production plants, and thus represent the highest quality in terms of the product and consultation that NETZSCH customers have become accustomed to. Three model ranges and twelve sizes with pumping capacities of 1 to 1,000 m3/h guarantee greatest flexibility when configuring the pump units. The pumping capacity, size and material of a TORNADO® rotary lobe pump are precisely tuned to the properties of the pumping medium and the place of use.

NETZSCH is the only global manufacturer to develop, design and manufacture both positive displacement pump systems – namely progressing cavity and rotary lobe pumps - at the same time. This means that NETZSCH is able to offer its customers the advantage of providing the best solution for each particular application regardless of the pump type.

The TORNADO® rotary lobe pumps offer numerous advantages. The pump is distinguished by its small space requirements and ease of maintenance due to the pump chamber's easy access. The pumps are used for continuous and gentle conveyance of nearly all media up to a particle size of 70 mm, flow is proportional to rotational speed offering easy flow rate control and the pumps are capable of dry running for a reasonable length of time. They can be installed anywhere and thanks to their compact design require limited installation space. In the event of needing a repair, the pump does not have to be removed from the pipeline, thus can be maintained in place.

With more than fifty years of pump manufacturing history and global leadership in progressing cavity pumps NETZSCH has taken the inevitable step forward to expand it’s positive displacement pump product range.

For over five decades, NETZSCH has been offering customised and sophisticated solutions for applications in all sectors at a global level with its NEMO® progressing cavity pumps, TORNADO® rotary lobe pumps, macerators, dosing systems and accessories. With over 1,300 employees, "Pumps & Systems" is the largest Business Unit with the highest turnover in the NETZSCH group next to "Analysing & Testing" and "Grinding & Dispersing".
