Four Rivers to Integrate Waste Biomass Supply Chain
UK - Four Rivers BioEnergy is to vertically integrate into the waste liquid biomass supply chain.
In a letter to shareholders last week week, Chief Executive Officer, Stephen Padgett, summarises the multiple strategies that are being pursued, including the potential merger with or acquisition of existing feedstock handling companies.
Mr Padgett goes on to explain how Verta will expand its capability in pre-processing this waste biomass to make it suitable as a viable feedstock.
An important aspect of the company's UK plant is its expertise, capability and capacity for handling, pre-treating, blending and storing waste liquid biomass.
The letter also summarises progress being made towards generating renewable electricity at the Company's UK site.
It also sets out the Company's strategy to create optionality in revenue generation, through being able to produce a choice of renewable electricity to be sold directly into the grid via sub-stations already on the site and renewable biodiesel, which it would sell through its off-take contract with BP, both from the processed waste liquid biomass feedstock.
Four Rivers BioEnergy Inc is also to join up with Noble Solar Industries in a joint venture to exclusively develop solar energy projects in the UK.
Noble is one of the world's premier manufacturers of both monocrystalline and polycrystalline PV solar modules.
Noble has manufacturing operations in China, as well as distributors in many European countries, India, Africa and the Middle East, and storage warehouses situated in the UK and Central Germany.
The first of project in the UK is planned for development in phases up to 10MW at 4Rivers' 41 acre industrial site and adjacent land assets, located in Northumberland, North East England.
