The inaugural London Biofuels Conference was a stimulating and informative event, adeptly moderated by Sarah Montague.  It was a full day with high quality speakers discussing various topics including; RTFO, Threats to UK producers and 2nd Generation feedstocks.  The subject of the threats and/or opportunities of Biofuels has been widely discussed in the media, and this was continued at the conference.  The innovation of involving the producers and the environmentalists with the subsequent Q&A session gave the audience the opportunity to make an informed decision regarding whether biofuels were an opportunity or not?

The final session of the day was an interactive debate on the question ‘Do Biofuels have a sustainable future?’.  The audience and panel provided a lively discussion on this topic, expressing points of view from a variety of different perspectives.
